Dorothea Casady is one of the founders of the Bead Society of Los Angeles. She began collecting African trade beads in the 1960's. This collection covers more than 30 years of collecting. Dorothea (my mother) has asked me to sell her collection for her. The majority of these beads were created in Italy and traded to Africa in the late 1800's through early 1900's.
